The Architecture and Engineering profession is one of the top industries affected by the rapidly changing world of technology. Shremshock strives to be on the leading edge of this with our hardware and software programs. We currently have our Computer Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) program licenses on subscription so that we receive the latest release of software as it becomes available. We have experience using many different software programs including; Microstation, IntelliCAD, and Vectorworks, but for our architecture and engineering studios we have chosen to standardize on AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit Building Design Suite Premium. For the last five years we have been chosen to be on the beta team for both of these products to help Autodesk develop what features will be included in the new release of the software. In our design studio we can offer a variety of output based on the client's budget. We can produce hand-sketched renderings, computer aided sketch renderings and animations utilizing Google SketchUp Pro, or photorealistic renderings and animations using Revit or Autodesk 3ds Max Design.

At Shremshock we pride ourselves on keeping the lines of communication open with our clients and our consultants. To help us achieve this goal, we have a unified messaging system so that all of our staff receives all messages, whether it is an email, a fax, or a voicemail directly into a single location. This allows us to retrieve all 3 types of messages wherever we are via phone, computer, or smart phone. We also have standardized on Newforma software as our Project Information Manager (PIM), which allows us to file all communication per project as well as all data files into a database which we can search and share with others outside of our firm involved in the project including shop drawing submittals and RFIs. With these technologies we have been able to save a tremendous amount of time, especially during the construction administration phase of the project, helping to shorten construction schedules and allowing owners to occupy their building sooner.

Shremshock also has its own in-house print shop which allows us to produce wide format black & white or color plots. We also have a wide format scanner to provide digital archive services for old drawings and blueprints.

We are always looking at new technologies that will help us convey our designs in the best possible manner to help our clients' projects become reality. We are currently looking at software that in combination with our computer rendering service is able to produce a "virtual 3D" experience using augmented reality (AR).
